Title: 1001 Word Assignment

1001WordAssignment

Date: 1/24-3/28

Media: Photoshop, Graphite, Paper

Description: In this piece, I was given a 1001 word description from Adam Kor, which detailed a landscape in a very concrete, geometric way. I then had to make a representation of the image, which I wanted to retain the concrete framing, so I gridded the image. I also rewrote the text to correspond individual words to geometric cells. Then, after seeing the original image, I decided to turn the original into a room, and making a digital mosaic on the walls and floor that, when viewed correctly, formed the original image, albeit in a boxy way.
